The Matriarch is not bound by a physical form in the way mortals understand; Her origins are lost to any measurable epoch. When she manifests, it is often as a silhouette of predatory grace: an obsidian cat-like entity whose eyes glow with the cold, calculating intelligence of aeons. She is the Primordial Necromancer, a being whose essence is woven into the very fabric of death and rebirth, resulting in these states becoming perpetual and malleable under her dominion.

Her presence is the alluring richness of Dark Chocolate, Almond and Caramel, hinting at ancient comforts, quickly giving way to the bitter, metallic tang of Cyanide, a promise of swift oblivion. The comforting warmth of Coffee and Rum masks the insidious, subtly intoxicating notes of Tonka Bean and Vanilla, drawing you closer before the earthy, unyielding foundation of Vetiver and Sandalwood grounds you, perhaps too permanently, within her chilling embrace.

She saw the endless cycle of creation and destruction, life and death, as an inefficient expenditure of raw potential. Her ambition was not to halt this cycle, but to control it, to harness the raw energies of transition into forms of absolute, unyielding will. The Penumbral Cradle was formed, where she began her shaping of the cosmos. 

​It was in this pursuit that she birthed her children, perfecting the art of creating reverant feline beings: Hamilton, and the forms he took after his death, Seraphim and Nephilim, followed by Aegis, Colossus, and Monarch. 

The Matriarch's manifestation in the mortal realm is fleeting, yet chaotic. When she returns to the Penumbral Cradle, it is not in death, but rather to contort her shape and return once more to meld the cosmos as she sees fit. 

In memory and tribute to Ava, the fearsome yet loving mother of Hamilton, Lucy, and most of the other cats who acted as the muses for my works under Felis Umbra. 

The Matriarch is made with 100% natural coffee tinctures made in-house, therefore this fragrance MAY STAIN CLOTHING!

Each coffee tincture will vary between batches based on the coffee used, so there will be slight variations between each batch of The Matriarch. This is intentional, and each bottle will have a separate label indicating the date the tincture was made, aging time, and the type of coffee used for the tincture.
